radio and transistors also.
4.
Gathering of signatures to
bring pressure on the authorities is strictly prohibited. Previous sanction of the Principal is needed
fro any organized school activity.
5.
The
School is not responsible for lost books, money, clothes etc. Pupils must look after their own
things. It is not advisable for them to bring
valuable articles to School.
6.
Any kind of damage done on the School premises is to be
made good.
7.
Parents
should see that their wards attend the School and the School Functions in the
Prescribed Uniform i.e. white shirt / blouse (no bush-shirts) with the School
badge, biscuit coloured pants/skirts, black belt, black shoes and white
socks. And in winter Maroon
Coloured Sweater. The School can help
you to choose the right type of cloth.
8.
Students
without uniform are not allowed in the classroom (except on Wednesdays). They are liable to be sent home, in
which case the School disclaims all responsibility. Students without a calendar are liable to the
same penalty.
9.
“Pink
Cards” and “Grey Cards” may be issued for any serious or habitual breach of
discipline. The cards have to be
signed by the pupil’s parents or guardian.
A boy who comes late to school thrice in the same month will be issued a
“Pink Card”.
Attendance and leave
10.
Regular
attendance is an important element for successful work. For serious reasons however, a brief
written application must be made in advance in the space provided for the same
in the calendar on page 82. In case
of sickness or other unforeseen circumstances the pupil on returning to School,
must have, the reason of absence briefly written in the space provided for
ABSENCE RECORD in the School Calendar on page 80. This should be duly signed by the parents or
guardian and countersigned by the Principal/Vice-Principal before the pupil
enters the class.
11.
Compulsory attendance for
students of Stds. 5 to 12 on Independence day, Republic Day and Annual Sports
Day. Absence without
leave is penalised with a fine or with any other form of punishment a the
Principal’s discretion and if a pupil is absent for 15 days without leave his
name may be removed from the class-rolls; and the usual admission fee will be
charged if he is readmitted.
12. No pupil may absent himself from any examination or test except when prevented by reasons of health in which case a medical certificate is required.
Parental
Cooperation
13.
Parents will readily understand that a good amount of study and serious home
study is required for success, so they will see that at least four hours of
study are put in by the pupils of Stds. 7 - 12 and an hour less for boys of
lower classes.
14.
Private
Tuitions are discouraged and should be resorted to only after consulting the
Principal. No teacher will be allowed to tutor her or his own students, nor
students of standards or classes where she or he teaches.
15.
Report
of a pupil’s conduct and progress will be given from time to time in the School
Calendar. Parents are expected to
take note of these reports as also of the Examination results and to confer with
the Teaches and the Principal occasionally. The staff should be met only on the
second and fourth Saturdays of a month
between 9 - 00 and 12 - 00
a.m.
16.
When
Parents inquire or write concerning their wards they should mention the standard
and particular section in which they study at present.
Examinations and
Promotions
17.
Two
tests and one Examination will be held on the days indicated in the Calendar for
Middle School, High School and Higher Secondary sections. Monthly tests will be held for Primary
as per Evaluation System. Though
the corrected answer booklets may under no circumstances be taken home, parents
are welcome to look them over in School on the day fixed for this purpose. No corrected answer books will be shown
for the Final Examination.
18.
Class
work and internal marking : Class work which consists of oral work, written work
previously prepared at home and class tests will be taken into consideration for
the examination and promotions.
19.
The
standard for passing is 40 per cent of the marks in each subject. Promotions will be decided on the Final
Report obtained by adding the marks obtained in the two Tests and the
Examination.
20.
Only such pupils who pass in
all subjects in this Final Result have a right to be promoted to a higher
standard. Others may be promoted
according to the promotion rules approved by the educational
authorities.
